Adkins screened a word puzzle in white onto the drum skin that references cities which have George Washington Carver schools. The puzzle itself references Yves Klein's Yves Peintures - monochromes named after cities that he lived in. The rope alludes to Carver's development of a cotton fiber for rope. The drum sits atop a keyboard stand, Carver played the piano. As is with all of Terry's work it is multi-layered and compelling as an object unto itself. CM note 16.11.21
